Manchester United is out of strikers. Alex Ferguson is waiting for Cristiano Ronaldo

Manchester United's manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, who vowed to get a striker for the club within the transfer period could not find anyone till now. With less then eleven days left for the transfer period to end, Ferguson has become less optimistic.

So who are on the list of the possible strikers to join the prestigious club? They are: Dimitar Berbatov, David Silva, Thierry Henry, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Roque Santa Cruz. For the Tottenham Hotspur striker Dimitar Berbatov it would be a ‘dream transfer’ but he has not been called upon.

The club already has two brilliant strikers- Fraizer Campbell and Danny Wellbeck, but both of them are inexperience. Louis Saha has been suffering from injuries for a long time. In addition, there are Wayne Rooney and Carlos Tevez. Rooney has been criticized for his bad behavior on the field.

As Ferguson is out of options, he is thinking of getting Cristiano Ronaldo. The problem is, Ronaldo just undergone an ankle surgery. Unless he is fully recovered the club has to wait.

Will Samir Nasri live up to Arsenal's Number 8 expectations?

Samir Nasri, the twenty one year old French footballer, is going to wear the legendary number 8 jersey of Arsenal and this has created another controversy among fans. The number 8 jersey in Aresnal, one of the top English football clubs, has been wore by the club's top scorers like Ian Wright, Freddie Ljungberg, Alan Ball, George Graham, Charlie George. When a player becomes famous wearing a number, it becomes special among fans and the one who wears that same number is also expected to perform well. Though talented Samir Nasri is very young and does not come with much experience. Already, Arsenal is saying that Nasri is going to be the next Zinedine Zidane. This is a great responsibility and with great responsibility comes great stress. Hope Samir Nasri can handle it and live up to the expectation.

Blackburn Rovers fans are not happy with the sign up of Paul Robinson

Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Paul Robinson signed a five year contract with Blackburn Rovers for £3.5million. The goal keeper had a tough time last season as he lost his place in Spur’s starting line-up and lost his position as England’s top goal keeper. Last month, Juande Ramos, Tottenham Spur’s boss hired Brazillian goal keeper Heurelho Gomes from Dutch club PSV Eindhoven. After becoming the manager of Blackburn Rovers, Paul Robinson is Paul Ince’s first sign up but some Rovers fan feels that this sign-up is controversial. Compared to Paul Robinson, American veteran goalkeeper Brad Friedel was doing far better. He gave better performance last season.
